Are you up for actively participating in the creation of a play, both onstage and behind the scenes? Well, here's your chance!
Under the guidance of director Ronald Wolthuis, participants will create their own play. They'll draw from their own experiences, and through inspiring acting exercises, they'll craft the scenes. From the script to the costumes and the set, everything will be brainstormed and created by the participants themselves. All of this leads up to an exciting climax: a performance for family and friends in the intimate Griffion theater on Boelelaan.
Ronald Wolthuis graduated as a theater maker from HKU in Utrecht. He directs plays, operas, and physical theater. He has worked as a director on theater productions with young people, students, amateurs, and professionals alike. He co-founded theater group Dender with Jasper van der Heijden, and they are frequently featured at theater festivals throughout the country. In his theater classes, the focus is on the joy of acting and the development of your talents.
Language of instruction: English. The classes take place on the sixth floor of the OZW building on the VU Campus (Boelelaan 1109).
