No Good Men:
Afghanistan, 2021, shortly before the Taliban's return to power. Naru, the only camerawoman at Kabul's leading TV station, is fighting to keep custody of her three-year-old son. Since leaving her unfaithful husband, she has, like most Afghan women, become convinced that no good men exist in her country. So Naru is surprised when Qodrat, Kabul TV's top journalist, offers her a career opportunity. As they travel across the city together covering the last days of freedom, sparks fly and Naru begins to question her belief. Could there, after all, be a good man somewhere? Director, writer, and star Shahrbanoo Sadat aims to show an authentic side of Afghanistan with humor and romance. No Good Men opened this year's Berlin Film Festival.
