Over de cursus
Mindfulness has its origins in ancient meditation practices. This course is rooted on these practices and the evidence-based program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn. Mindfulness is a way of paying attention to, and seeing clearly whatever is happening in our lives. Not to eliminate life’s pressure, but to recognize and step away from habitual – often unconscious – emotional and physiological reactions to everyday events. You will learn how to become more present in your own life, by becoming aware of the mind’s tendency to wander off. Mindfulness training is an effective way to reduce stress and improve the quality of your life. In this course you will learn mindfulness skills by doing and practicing, during the session and home-practice in between. You can expect a variety of exercises, like sitting and walking meditations, gentle stretches, guided awareness and concentration exercises.
