Colette Curfs

In this course, you learn to draw from observation. We alternate between drawing in the Botanical ZuidAs of the VU and in the studio of Griffioen. You will be surprised by the most unusual flowers and plants and learn how to draw powerful shapes and lines, the right proportions and shadows. We will also pay attention to creating exciting colour combinations and balanced compositions.

About the teacher

Colette Curfs attended the teacher training college in Delft and the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.

Additional Information

Bring your own sketchbook and pencils. The course fee includes paint and paper, but not brushes. The course is suitable for beginners and some advanced students.

Please note! The lesson times at the OZW are from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and at the Botanical Gardens from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
