The Griffioen ticket sale 22/23 has started

Good news! As of today, the new theatre programme is online and we have put together a fantastic selection of cabaret, music, dance, theatre, theatre classes and more. And as a student or VU employee you always get a great discount!

What's more, you can be the very first to attend! This Monday 23 May at 12 - 6 p.m. you can be the first to buy tickets for our new performances - simply at our theatre box office at the entrance to the NU building.

Online ticket sales will start on Tuesday 24 May at 12.00 p.m. If you prefer to buy your tickets at the box office, you can do so from this date on performance nights from 17.00 to 21.00 hrs.

The programme

Get the giggles out of the cabaret performances by René van Meurs, Paulien Cornelisse, Patrick Laureij, Tim Fransen, Stefano Keizers, Anne Neuteboom and Javier Guzman. Be surprised by the theatre lectures of Maarten van Rossem, Brainpower, School of Life and Erik Scherder. See the ladies of the feminist podcast Damn, Honey live in the theatre. Discover new talent at Fringe Festival on Tour and the Griffioen de Stoep Cabaret Festival. Be moved by Solo Stories and Komt een vrouw bij de dokter. And much more!

Language no problem

We also offer more and more performances for non-Dutch speakers. Just look for performances with the label 'English' or 'Language no problem'! You can enjoy the cheerful music of The African Mamas, visit a Tribute to Sting & The Police, broaden your horizons with Opera voor Dummies and dream away to the beautiful piano music of none other than Wibi Soerjadi. You can also watch Holland Dance Festival and other dance performances again this year. And we have something new for you: the Griffioen Comedy Club! We'll tell you more about that soon...

Better and better

Due to the pandemic, we had a difficult start last year on the campus. Lockdowns, limited room occupancy, delivery problems, staff and artists falling by the wayside ... Now, we are entering the new theatre season in good spirits! Our team has new reinforcements, we are working on beautiful atmospheric lighting and a good public address system in the atrium, Bar Boele is opening a kitchen this autumn and the artists are - just like us - eager to make it a fantastic year. Together with you of course! Will you come to discover the new Griffioen this season?
