How do you find your way when everything is constantly changing? In FLUX, three performers search for balance in an unpredictable world. They navigate between form and chaos, between taking control and letting go. Who leads, who follows, who takes the first step? Sometimes they find comfort in structure, sometimes room to breathe in the unexpected, or even liberation in the unknown. And when they think they’ve figured it all out, everything shifts again.

FLUX is the latest performance by Marta & Kim. At the intersection of circus and dance, they let bodies speak without words: sincere and poetic. They create an exercise in embracing the complexity of life, in getting lost and finding direction. And perhaps an attempt at still looking each other in the eyes, through these turbulent times.

Marta and Kim-Jomi Alstadsæter are praised for the way they weave dance and circus into a poetic and sculptural movement language. Their work is rooted in human connection – how bodies work together, communicate, and influence one another. They merge the imaginative power of circus with the subtlety of dance, resulting in something raw, intimate, and deeply human. Their movement language is a constant dialogue between strength and vulnerability, virtuosity and poetry, instinct and precision. The images they create speak without words and stay with you. Since 2016, Marta & Kim have been building a layered and internationally touring body of work. They are associate artists at Dansateliers (NL) and have collaborated closely with Festival Circolo (NL) and Davvi (NO), anchoring their work in both the Netherlands and Norway.
