This spring, the VU Chamber Orchestra will travel to the far north with a Scandinavian program. Danish composer Carl Nielsen based his *Saga-Drøm* on an Icelandic saga; in the music, you will hear the hero Gunnar dreaming. Next, the orchestra will perform the dreamy Cantus Arcticus by Finnish composer Einojuhani Rautavaara. In this piece, the orchestra is accompanied by birds from northern Finland, creating a magnificent fusion of orchestra and wildlife.
Via Denmark, Iceland, and Finland, the orchestra eventually arrives in Norway, from where you will hear the music of Edvard Grieg from the play Peer Gynt. All of this under the baton of guest conductor Johan Olof.

For each concert, 35 complimentary tickets are available for VU employees (maximum of 2 tickets per employee). If all complimentary tickets have been claimed, you can purchase tickets through regular sales: https://vu-kamerorkest.nl/concertagenda/.
