Janna

A born storyteller

Janna accompanies herself on guitar and piano, drawing inspiration from great singer-songwriters, particularly from the 1970s. Her music is a blend of pop, soul, jazz, and folk.

With her warm voice, interpretations, and personal style, she moved the coaches, jury, and audience alike during the TV program Talent Unplugged. Janna convincingly won the show with her impressive rendition of “She” by Charles Aznavour, firmly establishing her name in the music scene.

Immediately after the finale aired, she released her debut self-written single, She Knows Me Now (The Silent Song) — a song about listening to the intuitive inner voice every person carries within. The track received extensive airplay on stations such as NPO Radio 2, was featured in major Spotify playlists, and Janna made several notable TV appearances, including on Eva Jinek’s talk show.

Following a series of successful performances at major festivals in the summer of 2025 — including Zwarte Cross, Hullabaloo in Groningen, and Concert at Sea — Janna launched the first leg of her own theatre tour in autumn, performing to sold-out venues across the country, from De Kleine Komedie in Amsterdam to Muziekgebouw Eindhoven.

On November 14, 2025, Janna performed at a sold-out AFAS Live in Amsterdam.

During these shows, Janna — accompanying herself on guitar and piano alongside her band (drums, bass/double bass, and violin) — performed a large selection of original songs as well as well-known tracks such as “She” and “The Boxer.”

Last autumn, Janna also appeared as support act for Hannah Mae’s entire club tour, as a guest performer during a Soulful Christmas show by Trijntje Oosterhuis, and as support for artists including Guus Meeuwis and RONDÉ.

Janna’s 2026 begins with a performance at Noorderslag (ESNS) in Groningen, followed by the second leg of her theatre tour in January and February, culminating in a sold-out performance at the Royal Theatre Carré on February 25, 2026.
