VU Griffioen considers the protection of your personal data to be of importance. VU Griffioen processes, manages and secures your information with the greatest care. In doing so, we comply with the requirements set by the law.
We use the personal data provided by you when you make a purchase at the cash register or via the website for the following purposes:
We only process data that is necessary for the fulfilment of the above purposes. If you have any questions or want to know what personal data we store about you, you can always contact us via our contact form.
After five years of inactivity, your data will be converted so that it is no longer traceable to you as a person. We do this after we have contacted you by email. Some information will be kept longer because it is required by law. You can ask us to remove your personal data at any time.
What are your rights concerning personal data?
VU.nl uses cookies. A cookie is a small file that is placed on the computer of the internet user. There are different types of cookies. It is not the case that when you visit our website you will immediately receive all cookies on your computer: it depends on the specific page you visit, and possibly an action you perform on that page (for example, when you fill in a form).
Functional cookies
Functional cookies can, for example, remember a login or the contents of a shopping basket. They play a functional role within a site and do not affect your privacy.
Analytical cookies
VU Griffioen uses analytical cookies and tracking cookies to map the use of the website with the aim of increasing the effectiveness and ease of use of the website. Via our website, a cookie is placed by the company Google, as part of their "Analytics" service. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or insofar as third parties process the information on Google's behalf. We have no influence on this. We have not authorised Google to use the analytics information obtained for other Google services. Your IP address is explicitly not provided.
Tracking cookies from third parties
With your consent, or after you have used our website, our partners Google and Facebook place tracking cookies/pixels on your equipment. They use these files to track which pages from their network you visit, in order to build up a profile of your online surfing behaviour. This profile is partly built on the basis of comparable information they receive from your visit to other websites from their network. This profile is not linked to your name, address, e-mail address and such like known to us, but is only used to tailor advertisements to your profile so that they are as relevant as possible.
How can I adjust the use of cookies?
You can adjust your browser settings so that you do not receive any cookies while visiting our website, or so that you are informed when you receive a cookie. The settings for managing cookies can be found in most browsers under the 'privacy' or 'security' tab. The VU Griffioen website displays a cookie notification. If you continue to browse our website without answering the cookie notification, you are implicitly agreeing to the use of cookies.
Where can I go if I want to inspect my data, or if I want to unsubscribe from the newsletter, or if I have any other questions about privacy?
If you have any questions, remarks or complaints about the use of your personal details, wish to inspect stored data, wish to unsubscribe from the newsletter or other publications, or have any other questions about your personal details at Griffioen, you can always contact us via our contact form. In principle, we will respond within 7 working days (except in July and August, when the processing time may be longer).
