High Heels dance group Huzlers Collective becomes European Champion!

Last Sunday, the High Heels dance group of the Huzlers Collective, led by dance teacher Ana Hazler, became European champions at the DanceStars European Championship in Kalkar, Germany.

The winning High Heels group consists of eight dedicated dancers. With their strong performance, they impressed the judges and secured the European title. A remarkable achievement that VU Griffioen is extremely proud of!

About the VU Griffioen Dance Crews

The two VU Griffioen Dance Crews consist of the most dedicated dancers from our hip hop, urban, and high heels dance classes. Within these crews, the dancers train weekly and regularly perform at events within and outside VU, as well as at national and international competitions.

VU Griffioen has two crews: one led by Ana Hazler and one led by Rebecca Smaak. Rebecca’s Ultra Violet Dance Crew also achieved a great result this season by securing second place at the Dutch National Championships. More information about the VU Griffioen Dance Crews can be found on this page.

About Ana Hazler

Ana Hazler is an experienced and energetic dance teacher at VU Griffioen. She teaches High Heels, Urban Dance, and Jazz Dance and also leads one of our Dance Crews. For over 15 years, she has worked as a teacher, choreographer, and judge at international dance competitions across Europe. Ana is originally from Croatia, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Dance Performing Arts.
