Testing for Admission at Griffioen

25th August 2021

Recently, an increasing number of theater agencies, producers and artists have indicated to us that the limited theatre capacity is no longer financially viable. That is why, after having our doors closed for one and a half years and hosting performances limited to 30 visitors, we have decided to use Testing for Admission from this season onwards. Just like almost all other theatres and stadiums in The Netherlands. We hope for your understanding.

What does this mean for you?

You can only visit the performance with a valid test, recovery or vaccination certificate.

  • Vaccination certificate
A complete corona vaccination of at least 14 days old with a European approved vaccine.
  • Recovery certificate
Proof that you recovered from corona less than 6 months ago.
  • Test certificate
If you do not have a valid recovery or vaccination certificate, you can get tested within 24 hours before the show (currently free of charge) via www.testenvoortoegang.org. On this website you will find all the information about Testing for Admission and you can make an appointment to be tested.

Download the CoronaCheck app onto your smartphone next. This app allows you to create a QR code from your test, recovery or vaccination certificate. If you do not have a smartphone, you can also request a paper certificate at https://coronacheck.nl/nl/print.

On the evening of the performance, the QR code on your phone or paper will be scanned at the door. You must also be able to show a valid ID (driving licence, passport or identity card). Your ticket will then be checked and you can enjoy the performance.

N.B. Testing for Admission applies only to our theatre performances and not to the courses. For the courses, we follow the current rules of the government.

You may have reasons for not wanting to be vaccinated or tested. Did you buy a ticket before we applied the conditions of Testing for Admission? If so, we are happy to offer you an alternative.

We really hope that you will come to the theatre despite the changed conditions. The artists are also eager to get back on stage.

See you soon in Griffioen!
