Ultra Violet Dance Crew wins silver at the Dutch National Championship!
At the recent Dutch National Championship, the Ultra Violet Dance Crew, led by Rebecca Smaak, finished in second place. We are incredibly proud of this fantastic achievement!
About the VU Griffioen Dance Crews
The two VU Griffioen Dance Crews consist of the most dedicated dancers from our hip hop, urban, and high heels dance classes. Within these crews, the dancers train weekly and regularly perform at events within and outside VU, as well as at national and international competitions.
Griffioen has two dance crews: one led by Ana Hazler and one led by Rebecca Smaak. Ana's High Heels dance group recently became European champions at the DanceStars European Championship in Kalkar, Germany! More information about VU Griffioen's dance crews can be found on this page.
About Rebecca Smaak
Rebecca Smaak has a passion for dance and teaching, particularly in Hip Hop. Since 2017, she has been teaching Urban Fusion classes with great love, incorporating influences from House, Dance Hall, Afro Dance, and the Ballroom scene. Additionally, she works at the Tranz Foundation where she contributes to various dance productions such as IK ZIE JE and Like You. Fun in dance is at the heart of her classes.
