Corona measures from 26 January

Wednesday 26 January 11 PM

Griffioen is open again! During the press conference on Tuesday 25 January it was announced that theatres, restaurants, and bars can re-open. The course programme had been resumed earlier.

Although there are still several coronation measures in place, including the limited seating capacity, we are very happy that we can open again. We are eager to start again and so are our artists.

What does this mean for my show?

All performances up to and including 15 February are on. If, exceptionally, your performance is cancelled, you will receive a reminder in your mailbox. To be sure, also check your spam and advertising folder.

You must show a valid corona ticket and ID at the entrance. In addition, (disposable) mouth masks are mandatory when moving through the building. When you are in the auditorium, you may remove your mouth mask. We also ask all our visitors to keep 1.5 metres from us and for that reason the seating capacity is limited. For the time being, there are 100 seats available in the Great Hall and 45 seats in the Small Hall.

All performances end at 10 pm and our theatre café, Bar Boele, will also be open until 10 pm. There is no interval, but you can have a drink in the café before or after your visit. Please note that you must also be seated in the café. Food and drinks are not allowed in the theatre.

There will be another press conference in 3 weeks.

What does this mean for my course?

For the courses, nothing has changed because of this press conference. The courses from the first semester have been resumed, where possible, since Monday 24 January. Students have received an email with more information about their course by Friday 21 January. Please check your spam and advertising folder.

Please note: Even for courses, it is still mandatory to show a valid corona card and ID to your course tutor upon arrival and to wear a (disposable) mouth mask when moving around the building.

In order to round off the course programme of the first semester nicely, there will be a new date for the course presentations. The aim is to have the course presentations take place in mid-March. Students will be informed about this later on.

From 1 March, the new course semester will be on the website! It will be a nice and full spring programme with workshops in the weekends as well, so keep an eye on the website.

See you soon

We hope you are just as excited about the reopening of the theatre as we are. We hope to see you soon at Griffioen. Thanks for all the nice messages and see you soon!
